We’re considering a project like this. And I love the wine cellar with a bar feel, housing the spirits. I realize they aren’t designed to actually hang out in the cellar because of the temperature. But having a place to store the spirits and make a drink seems like a great idea and is visually very appealing. When asking our cellar designer if we could add a freezer for our ice and ice balls, he was concerned about the heat generated by the small freezer. He’s concerned the warm air from the freezer exhaust when mixed with the cooling system could generate condensation and mold, or overpower the cooling system creating a fluctuation in room temperature. Have you had any similar concerns? How long has the wine cellar been in use?
