    This plant is Viburnum plicatum 'Mariesii' or Doublefile Viburnum. It is a large shrub that has been pruned into a tree form, which makes it look very similar to a Dogwood, as Ruth suggested above. In fact, it is a good substitute for Dogwood where the fungal anthracnose disease has been a problem. It gets around 12'-15' in the Portland, Oregon area
