board & batten/hardiplank chimney

Would you please confirm that you used hardi siding on the chimney. Did you have to piece the boards or did they come long enough?

This siding product was actually called "Breckenridge" (Plywood with a Cedar outer layer) which can be stained or painted but has a very rough surface. It's only sold in sheets so yes, there would be a lot of flashing and seems (hard to see in these) vs. a typical siding product that comes in 16' lengths.
