bulkhead location hall or room?

We are building an addition and adding a/c ducting. We can run it down a long 4ft wide hallway and drop that 8’ ceiling to 7’… or we can run it along the headboard wall, vanity wall in the bedroom/ensuite. If in the bedroom we would place thin pot lights on the underside.

Would you sacrifice having a low ceiling hallway or create a feature in the bedroom?
