You buy a box of each bring it home lay it out in your space with your stuff and your lighting. Seeing it in any other space tells you nothing.

We’re looking at revwood as well I the toasted timber — did you end up going with that?

We actually decided against the Revwood because of durability. We ordered a couple sample pieces and tried scratching them and it was truly alarming how much more easily they scratched than other brands. We were so glad we didn't buy it. We ended up getting Karastan Belleluxe Danbury Alcove Spiced Cider Walnut. We LOVE it. It's a beautiful neutral medium/light brown. The planks are longer than most so it gives a realistic look.

@Missy Thanks so much for this info its interesting I had 2 experienced floor specialists direct me to revwood for scratch resistance ( I have dogs that have trashed my engineered wood floors) but I am struggling with the color choices ( and now thinking might not be the best choice after all!) I wonder if they are just less familiar with Karastan or trying to sell at a certain price point. I like the Karastan too especially for the more realistic “wood” look didn’t realize there may be better durability ( I think they all have same hardness of AC4) but maybe the Karastan texture and images will “hide” it better?I brought home the Karastan Belhancourt linen wash oak because but it seems too light/washed out in my lighting — l also liked the spiced cider walnut and vintage tea oak but the store I went to didn’t have samples so I’ll have to go elsewhere to find. Also I wasn’t able to find much info/reviews on the Karastan laminate — did you find any resources? If you don’t mind sharing photo of your floor I’d love to see it!

Yes, we had one interior designer and one flooring specialist who were shocked when we showed them. I guess they never tried very seriously to scratch them. You can go on the Mohawk and Karastan websites and order small sample pieces for free. Once you get them, go at it trying to scratch them up, and you will see for yourself!

We got Taj Mahal quartzite countertops and we thought they would be the star of the show in the kitchen, but instead, everyone who walks in exclaims about the floors!

Yes, I believe they were similar. I think the Karastan May have been on sale at the time so it was slightly cheaper? But in the same ballpark.
