Swing the door out?

Install the door in the added 2x4 interior wall?

Add the 2x4 interior wall only in front of the concrete foundation wall?

Are those light switches on the hinge side of the door?

Is there no one involved in this doing the designing in advance? Is everyone just winging everything????

The way it was set up before doin that would have been fine. There was no concrete to the left of the door. That area could have been left alone. Or you could have done a sidelight. Or, as Mark said, install it in the new 2 x 4 wall.

I am also questioning the odd placement of those switches.

Since you have gotten this far with it, you will just have to put a door bumper on the wall. I am sure you will get used to it over time.

What is the last picture with the 9 lite door and the drywall installed? The black door and the cement wall that is offset, what room will this be in the home once the work is finished?
