Need help with kitchen backsplash

last modified: 2 years ago

Hi all! I recently got my kitchen remodeled and I love the results so far! I have two outstanding issues/ questions and I'd love some advice.

A friend is going to install the backsplash tile for me behind the wall where my stove sits. Where would you end the backsplash tile? Where the counter ends? Where the cabinet ends? Or go all the way to the window? I'm planning to use Ann Sacks Savoy 2"x8" ceramic ribbed field tile in Chalk.

Second, I made a mistake by not getting a 4" backsplash installed with my countertops. The stone company doesn't have a remnant, and the stone has been discontinued. What should I use instead? The same tiles from the wall behind my stove? If so, would you just run them in the space where a traditional backsplash would go? I'd prefer not to tile the whole wall for cost reasons. Thanks so much!
