Tub to Shower Conversion

Hello!
I am having trouble finding more current posts/discussions on this topic, but please feel free to direct me to them!
Due to a new disability, I need to convert my alcove tub-shower combo (30" x 60') with tile surround to a walk-in shower. No one will give me even a estimate range without having an on-site consultation (impossible since I cannot live at home right now).
I am trying to decide between buying the pre-made alcove and pan and hiring a contractor to install it, or using one of the "one-day" companies like Bathfitter, Long Baths, etc. In addition to the pan/walls, I would also need grab bars installed. Can anyone provide their experience on which is better in terms of quality and cost effectiveness?
Other questions if you can:
What would installation of a box-store walls and pan cost (rough estimate)?
Has anyone done this and had a good/bad experience?
Do you have any specific alcove/pan products to recommend or advise against (Delta, Maax, American Standard)? Fiberglass or acrylic?
What is a rough estimate for a Bathfitter, re-Bath, Long Baths tub to shower conversion?
What is your experience with these companies?
Thank you all so much for the help!
