My contractor installed a recessed LED fixture over our sink, having forgotten that I had bought a standard ceiling light (yes, I told him, and it was where he knew the rest of the lighting was). I gave him the ceiling light and he switched it out. Since completion, we have gone through two LED E26 bulbs—they both started to dim over several weeks, and now the second one barely lights up. Is there possibly something different about wiring for recessed LED that could be blowing out the bulbs, or do I just have a bad ceiling light? Don’t want to buy a new one and have the same thing happen…. Including a photo of the kind of LED fixture he originally put in.
