It's also the wrong color - or the pillows are the wrong color. There should be some similarities between them. I actually think it's the pillows that are wrong. They don't look right with the sofa. You need some pattern instead of three different solid colors.

I think a bigger rug would be better but the pillows and the rug are both kind of hohum and too many pillows on the sofa. i woud do lumbar ones on the chairs maybe a nice throw on the sofa and 3 pillows max but first get the rug and then figure out pillows . You are desperate need of lighting too

Yes, too small. Ideally the rug will go under a portion of the sofa and under both chairs.

If buying a new rug, suggest a color that works with the wall on left and with different cushions, your room will also feel more coordinated.

If your preference is keeping navy and rust accents, suggest painting the wall a complementary color and be sure your rug choice ties everything together.

A few pointers for your decor... also if you get feather fillers for your accent pillows you can prop them up on your sofa and chairs instead of having them lie down.
