Note-I’ve recently replaced that chandelier at the end with a black industrial/modern chandelier.

Thoughts:

- Are the cabinets in bad condition? They look good in the pictures -- I'd consider painting them. The word "dirty" didn't come to my mind right away, but I can see it: these colors have a "muddy undertone". If you painted them a clear, bright white or another clear pale color, I think you could save a lot of money and effort.

- If you do need to replace the cabinets, could you remove the soffit above /take the cabinets up higher? They're not bad -- and I love the textured glass -- but to-the-ceiling would be an improvement.

- I'm not crazy about those pulls. They look too dainty for such large drawers. I suspect something more hefty /visually heavier would look better.

- The handles also look too high on the drawers. Since the holes are already drilled, I wonder if you could improve this by choosing pulls that "dip down". Could a pro fill in the holes?

- I'd like to see some color and pattern added. The backsplash is a good spot for this, and since you have so little backsplash area, even an expensive tile wouldn't add up to much cost.

i like the floor more than the wall color. its hard when large swathes like the khaki walls surround the area you are focused on. I might lighten the wall color in truth before anything. Id consider some granite and a backsplash before the trouble of ripping out and replacing everything. I think the right stone could unite the cabinets w flooring and make it a lot more interesting .

bring in stone samples . along w appliances and new backsplash it might be the ticket.
