Dark brown and taupe can mean a bunch of things. Do you have a manufacturer you are working with that has colors you need to work from? Are you doing sdl or grids between the glass? If the latter in most cases the grids are the same colors on both sides so how will that affect your interiors?

Yes - they can match existing brown trim or the taupe of grout. Inside facing will be white, outside will be either the dark brown or the taupe. Windows will be replaced with same style - just need to decide on colour...

If you have samples of the colors please show them. As Hallett says, every window manufacturer has their own versions. But I'm thinking the lighter color would be better.

I would go with the darker brown to match roof, and would paint the wrought iron that color too.

I would prefer the lighter color windows to blend with the brick and grout. And then use the dark brown on the shutters.

I would go with taupe for windows. Roof should stand alone with its prominent brown color and not get so busy below it.

IMO the house needs the contrast so dark and I gree the wrought iron the same color no black. I do not think the grout is a design element in this case /That front door has got to go so post a pic of the new one please .I think the landscaping needs a huge amount of work and all one plant is IMO not an ideal choice You want to have it look good all year . I love hydrangeas but they form only part of my overall landscaping . I think removing those wrought iron pieces could be considered too . I think huge dark planters to replace those conifers would be a great place for seasonal color too.

This white trim is an eye-grabber to me. Not in a good way. Hopefully your new windows won’t have this.

A dark window with dark trim will turn the window into a dark hole unless there is a window treatment that can be seen thru the window.

Can you post the color options? We are guessing here.

Dark Bronze would be my suggestion. What manufacturer are you looking at for the windows? What about the front door? And as mention above, lose the panel / plywood "trim" under the windows at any cost.

Here are examples of other French homes for comparison. Dark brown/bronze seems like it might be too dark.

Apologies for delay. Have now removed the brown from the equation based on majority of comments - tks everyone! Here are the "taupe" options.

Landscaping - limited to 2" depth on L side due to driveway - have more play on R side (we had to do work in backyard so the hodge-podge of plants was emergency placement for now).

Front door will be replaced and the brown block at 4 windows will be the taupe. Wrought iron... tbd...

For what windows, trim, what?

Taking brown option out for windows. Brown will remain: roof, gutters, shutters & front door.

Of the 3 you are showing, I like the pebble one. It seems to be a nice blend of the other 2. Also, in the bright sunlight, your brown is not so dark.

For the landscape - I would spend some money for a landscape design. The house is very symmetrical - I am not sure I would do 2 different depths of beds. You will need to have a nice mix of annuals and perennials so that it looks good all year round. I can totally appreciate the stick comment about the hydrangeas. In the front yard, you have a small little spot of something growing there. I would expand that into something beautiful - maybe with a walkway to it, a bench and a small fountain.

I like the top one too (clay). Consider doing Wrought iron same Clay color if keeping. The current white kind of looks off.

You could paint that clay color or a beige would be nice to go with the brown yes I agree remove the shutters
