May we have measurements of the room that include windows, doors, openings? A hand drawn sketch works well. Also, may we have a picture of the rest of the room with your back to the windows? It is hard to see the potential otherwise.

It's probably too big for the room and it doesn't look like it fits with anything else in the room stylewise. A sofa with a chaise isn't the best choice for a living room. Do you watch TV in this room?

Looks like the hutch can't be scooted over because of a baseboard heater. Maybe on another wall?

Is your current sofa sturdy, well made, does it have life left in it? Is it comfortable? Do you want a new one simply in order to put your feet up somewhere?

The sofa you posted looks like something that will fall apart in about three years. Not high quality. If your current sofa is comfortable and high quality, I'd get an ottoman for it and ditch the coffee table.

IMO there is no way unless youa re planning a complete overhaul of your style and space . I hate sectionals they are IMO the most expensive way to have the least number of comfy seats arm rests = comfort all the rest are lined up like the middle seat in a sofa . No to anything that is too large to allow lighting ever. I think unless that ovehaul is in the furure keep what you have for the soaf and get 2 chairs to sit where you have the bench , remove the rocker and declutter than cabinet and get a piece of art that is larger and suits the room since that is really just a piece fot a cheap hotel room .

FYI to avoid confusion, what you pictured is a sofa with chaise. A sectional has a back portion on both sides, a sofa with chaise has the back portion only on one side.

The problem with the sofa you're eyeing is that it leans modern when the rest of your furniture is very traditional. Plus, I don't think a white sofa really goes with the rest of your scheme, unless you're willing to replace everything.

Why not pick up the blue color from your rug and get performance fabric that's pet-friendly? (Cute dog, btw.)

Thanks I have ruled out the cream sofa. It is too big for my space. This looks nice. I am hesitant to block the bay window with a loveseat. I am thinking 2 chairs on either side if I can get them to fit.

Can you show us the other 2 sides of the room (TV?), and measurements? How do you want to use this room? If you're going to add more furniture, some pieces need to leave. What must stay in this space?

Am in the "NO" camp as far as the new L shaped sofa. Will also suggest that you remove the hutch. It is crowding the current sofa.

Would you be able to add more images of the space? It seems like some items might need to be moved to make things feel less cramped.

A cream L shaped sofa could look really clean in your space, especially with softer textures and a smaller coffee table. I came across some inspiration here that has similar warm green living room ideas and layouts that might help.

Since we don't have photos, I assume you have a dining area or kitchen next to the hutch. Like several others, I suggest rehoming that piece due to its bulk and style not consistent with the rest of your furnishings. Rehome the rocker, rehome the backless bench at the window as well as cluttery "stuff." Instead:

Keep the current sofa and float it to face the window. Then get two comfortable armchairs to flank the window. Open up your coffee table so that it's reachable to sofa and the new chairs. Somehwat like this layout: Anchor all the pieces on current rug to create a conversational grouping.
