You have space but I think putting stools at the cutout will be a space eater so how many seats do you need for a dining table and also in the LR. Where are the windows or is there just the one going to the deck. It is a good sized space but a bit awkward a small table and chairs in the space across from the kitchen and then the rest for LR, I would figure out where the TV hookup is and show us tat then arrange the seating there to best watch TV I like sofa and 2 chairs for seating . If you sometimes have more than 4 at the DR table then maybe one that can sit against the wall and be pulled out for bigger dinners , Then you might be able to put a couple of low back stools at that counter . I guess we need a bit more info as to your life and size of family

Yes, the squares are chairs and the yellow circles indicate a table lamp and a floor lamp.

I like that too- I used a round table instead and had the tv on the other side of the bar opening with one less accent chair. and low back or no back stools to tuck under counter.

It looks like the living room area would work well where the big blank wall is opposite the opening in the kitchen. Then place the dining area closer to the front door.
