I did a sz 36” integrated Fridge and 30” integrated freezer. Both are their over and 2 drawer under configuration. They are side by side and look like a french door style fridge. I have had them 9+ years and love them. Mine are paneled.

Do columns for both refrigeration and freezing, to get what you need in the kitchen. Or, just a ugly 20 cu ft GE freezer in the garage.

Like you, we are two seniors. We also make warehouse runs to stock up…only at BJs, not Costco. Our 42” FD SZ, now almost 9yo, is all the refrigeration and freezer space we need. But then, we don’t eat much frozen food. We don’t have an extra fridge anywhere.

I’ve never liked SxS or columns. Not a fan of all the bending to reach the lower shelves.

darbuka @darbuka Have you enjoyed your 42" fd sz fridge? Any issues? It will be our first SZ appliance and we are splurging for our remaining years.

Tammy, yes. Very much appreciate the 42” FD SZ. Almost 9 years, no issues. Keeps food fresh for incredibly long.

But then, we are confirmed SZ users. This is our second. The first, a 36” over under…purchased in 1990 for the kitchen in our former home, was still going strong 26 years later when we sold that home. There was never a question of getting another SubZero for the new house.

So, in 35 years, we’ve owned just two fridges!
