Furniture Design Dilemma

Help with dining room table

Hello all,
I would like to update my dining room table. I would like something a bit more modern and light . I live in an apartment. Upon opening door the dining room is what you see.
Enclosed pictures are what I have now along with living room.

I would rather see a table that has a metal base like your occasional tables in the living room, but this is as close as I could find.

Tjos set could work with your furnishings also

You might consider updating the bar/hutch as well, if updating the table. Both pieces should coordinate and it looks like the bar/hutch might be too dark and heavy to go with a more modern table.
