It sounds like you are not willing/able to change very much. There’s nothing necessarily wrong with the colors you have; even the backsplash which is meh, goes with the rest of the materials. What are you hoping to achieve?

#1 new stools would transform the place. Go for upholstered, on swivels, something that invites one to stay and visit awhile. #2 lose the blinds and get some proper curtains. What's your beef with color/pattern? Layer some warmth and texture into your space. Next I would reconsider your lighting. What you have is no doubt very utilitarian but is adding nothing to your space visually.

I think your kitchen looks quite nice -- the main issue is the paint color, which looks too blue for the other finishes (at least in the lighting shown). Are you willing to change that if it flows into the next room too? A warmer gray or taupe would work a lot better, as would a close-up of your counter material.

ETA: I'm not sure that the dark blue back of the island is helping either. Another place that a more neutral tone would keep things from fighting so much.

If you are considering changing the flooring, I'd do that first. It's easier to select paint colors to work with flooring than vice versa.
