Don't use the vote feature! Nobody wants to work that hard. Post the floor plan, electrical plan show the lights as jpegs, try not to use screen shots. ...and put the entire thing on the PRO page.

We used lighting from Elco. They do commercial and mid/high end residential.

Get a lighting designer involved. I consulted with two higher end lighting showrooms and invited the one I liked best to do a consultation at the house when it was under construction. We then ordered the lights from them. There was a 4 weeks lead time to get the lights.

I couldn't see (pun intended) living in a high end house with no recessed lights! There needs to be a mix of lights (recessed, recessed wall washers, chandeliers/pendants, table, floor, etc) for all different tasks/activities that take place in those spaces.

A "very high end" home with detailing described by "museum quality" should have a lighting designer, interior designer, and MEP engineer working under the architect's purview.

Having said that, look at element-lighting as they have many options of trim and multiples. But you will possibly have a few styles/manufacturers of lighting, not just recessed, but say cove and linear depending on HVAC, wall decor, ceiling detailing/finishes, etc.

I agree this requires a really good lighting designer not the builder and so much info is missing. To start how high are the ceilings ? Lighting is all about layers unless this is a gallery so to put in ceiling lighting is one layer out of 3 so a lot more info but really the lighing designer is the pro you need and even if we can help we need a ton more info, a to scale plan for sure All of that here in comments DO NOT start another post and BTW this is not a vote choice for this type of issue and IMO narrow the choices too

Oops! Came back and one of your ballot measures caught my eye - I guess I suggested the same manufacturer. Jan's comment applies to me, skipped right over them.

I want to know a lot more about what you consider super upscale so pics or at least plans are a must here or on the pro site.
