Wrong Andersen 400 series between the glass grille color

My carpenter just installed windows in my living room with terratone exterior and unfinished pine interior to be stained to match all the existing trim in the room. The problem is that the between the glass grilles are white! I have Brazilian cherry floors, fruitwood stained molding and doors, and brown walls. Nothing white. All other rooms in the house have stained grilles to match. Can the grilles be removed and changed?

No, you cannot change the grids between the glass. Sealed insulated glass unit. Either buy new sash or full units.

Buy 4 new windows for something I didn't order? Yeah I don't think that's acceptable. It may be a small detail but it sure doesn't say white grille on the contract

You did not say that. Who signed the sales order? Call the store you bought the windows from.

You may be able to purchase a wood grill for the interior which would obscure the existing grills-between-the-glass muntins. Once installed, you'd need to closely inspect the windows to see the white GBG.

If you do't want white grills then the glass has to be replaced. If it was ordered other than white but came white then it's a warranty issue and should be no cost to you to fix, but if it was ordered incorrectly, then it's on whoever made the mistake. In either case it's an easy fix to get the right color grill.

Are you saying you have simulated divided lights and the shadow bars are white, or did you order grills between the glass instead of sdl even though your other windows are sdl?
