Use a 42" wide door with the 2 sidelites. Dam near anything that fit thru a double door will fit the a 42" door.

How often will you find they take up the entry entirety VS how may times will you need a double door to move? Lose the 2nd door.

That's a narrow looking space. A wide door with no sidelights would work for me. If you want light and an open feeling, make the door full length glass or glass horizontal panels for contemporary.

Do you have something that won’t fit through a 36” door? We’ve always been able to get furniture through that size door. Love our 36” door with sidelights!

My front door with sidelights has the option of one side light opening as well. Maybe look into that option.

So they function well, but you don't like the looks. This is a lot of money to spend to make something less functional ... just to change the looks.

I agree it's not all that great a look, but I'd try something cheaper than altering the doors:

- Change the lighting. A big part of the problem is that one door is shaded, emphasizing the width of the doors. If you change to a ceiling-mounted light /hanging pendant, you could light the doors evenly.

- The space is very plain. I'd look at painting (perhaps faux painted brick?) the steps. Then add some colorful planters on the steps /perhaps another hanging. Finish this thought by adding the same colors next to the bench and in the planter-area by the sidewalk.

- You need your house numbers somewhere -- perhaps above the door cavity? Or down the post (post?) on the left side as you approach the door.

- Finish with wreaths on the doors.

I think this'd get you the interest /attractiveness you want at the door ... without as much cost.
