Replace appliances in a black & white kitchen with stainless?

Hi,

I have a vintage condo with a small kitchen. Currently the kitchen has a white and black tile backsplash with white cabinets and black countertops. My dishwasher is having issues, and I think I will need to replace it, but am not sure if I should replace with another black one, or if I should get a stainless dishwasher with the intention to replace the fridge and stove down the line (it's a rental property). You can kind of see the dishwasher (black) on the left side next to the sink, and the current fridge is out of the picture (on the wall by the stove) and is white. Next to the fridge is an external door that is painted white on the wall facing the window wall.

Do you think it will increase value to upgrade to stainless, or with the colors in the kitchen should I stay with the black and white appliances?

Thanks!
