Can you tell us why you feel you need to change the look? It's really quite nice as it is. What are you hoping to achieve? Do you have inspiration photos?

Just to clarify, are these your listing photos or from when you bought it?

I agree it looks nice as is. I don’t think black would work too well. It seems like it would suck out all the light in the room

Confused about whether any of the furniture in the pics is yours. But the black is a no-go in this room. It is going to have a narrowing tunnel effect and make the room feel lifeless. Can you do anything to the Stickley to make it more comfortable? More firm foam cushions - or the opposite, make them down? Add throw pillow to the back if it is too deep?

Sabrina we want to change because of comfort and colour … alwa always s have blankets on the sofa when the grand kids are over

The black sofa is just way too much black for any room.

IMO the space needs color and I think you bought art to go in the space instaed of getting it becuase you LOVE it . I do not think a black sofa is the right choice .Why blankets ? How does that affect the comfort ? Maybe expalin what the issue is for comfort . I would probably go the same color sofa again if that is the only change you are making. I think this looks like a showroom not a home is that the look you like? Or if a real change then start with the art move it somewhere else and get pieces with some color to make you smile . If the art is what you LOVE then try to ad a bit of color in the rug and those pillows .

Tge blankets are for protection of stains because of tge white colour

I'm with other posters on the black sofa not being a good choice for your currently living room. With the current walls, fireplace, cabinetry and accessories IMO the black sofa would stick out like a sore thumb.

Keep in mind that you're inviting some design pros and people with a design eye into your home via photos. If they walked into your actual space, they would take in all of it: all four sides, doorways, floors, windows, ceiling, built-in fixtures, lighting, trim--the "givens"--then the features that can be changed--furnishings, paint, art, rugs, decor items, etc. It's all one first impression. Same thing with photos. That's why it's important to provide well lit photos of the entire space, taken from all sides of a room regardless of the size of your problem.

No to the black sofa. You might consider having your existing sofa adjusted for your comfort. A custom upholstery shop can change interior stuffing to your preference.
