Start with the rug. It will be easy from there. You'll pull the colors of the rug for your accent chairs & other accent furnishings.

Hadn’t finished as I was looking for chairs (hope you see updates). Without knowing your style, just taking a stab in the dark though.

I would go more in this direction and maybe start with a pices of art to draw color from the srt can easily set the plaette as for chairs what direction are you going in for the actaul decor / I think the sofa can go many ways it is simple so find chairs you love then work from them too.

    Maybe something like this

I find the cane chairs are too casual for the look of the sofa. I like Patricia's suggestion.

What does the rest of the room look like? I'm loving the sofa and there are several different directions you can take this. I agree, start with a rug or art inspo and pull the chairs in to complete the look.

The cane chairs look uncomfortable. Go with an upholstered club chair like Patricia suggested.

I agree to start with a multicolor rug.

What color is the sofa? Hard to get a good handle on what it is.

I don't think the cane chairs look uncomfortable, nor do they look too casual. Two of these perfect scale chairs, with your elegant sofa, will be gorgeous in your formal space. Cane and velvet have been a couple for many, many years.

Casual sophisticated …mixing warm colors but keeping the colors very subtle and understated….mix of textures and neutrals…a room that is not stuffy but very inviting.

It’s a beautiful sofa. Love the color and style! Do you have any color preferences? You can go any number of ways.

    Some inspiration:

There are glass tables in some of these and I never recommend glass, if there are children or teens in a space - so just have to say that. And I used a lot of patterned pillows in these, which of course is up to your preference whether you prefer solids or patterns or a mix. These are just to show some general color ideas , etc.

Can you show the ENTIRE room please? All the angles? Is there a dining room nearby? Show that as well?

Add more pictures in other words. Are we even seeing that sofa in YOUR space?: )

Whay type of styling is in the adjoining rooms?

As I have a chance to read through the thread now, I think maybe the OP just decided to get the cane chairs and move on.

These are a couple more I did the other day. Just posting them for fun. I love her sofa. The color and style is right up my alley! And it also looks like it’s perfect for the space it’s shown in. Amazing if this is her space

Dear Victoria, we lost you to the holiday (or cane furniture shopping!) Maureen, those chairs are gorgeous ❤️

We love this couch sofa Victoria! It!s bringing out the best in us, these are all wonderful ideas!

Cane and velvet are one of my favorite classic-style steals from the Empire!

Freedomplace1 and Celery are showing some complimentary color schemes — gold and purple/blue/aqua. (Given that) your flooring and walls are in warm tones, complimentary (here purple/lavender/seafoam to turquoise/blue) might create a very fresh feel. Sorry for the clauses, holiday head with lists!

A few suggestions ❤️ and if using orange, keep to coral? The new distressed/worn oriental rugs would look beautiful but … with the velvet….Is that? Do I smell patchouli?….Perhaps opt for a tighter weave? Have a WONDERFUL SHOP! ❤️

And a touch of aqua if using coral/yellow —

Yes, the lighter blues and lavender could be another take on it, Abby. Although I overall personally prefer more saturation of color against yellow/gold.

Here’s another one that I didn't post the other day - with a lavender chair. I think the deeper blues, black, red - as well as the deep purple accent pillow on the chair -keeps the gold/lavender from looking washed out and/or mismatched.

The gold color of her sofa would blend with lavender better than the sofa in the visual above does. At least from what I can tell from the appearance of her sofa color on my screen. A lavender could be nice.

The watered down shades of purple and blue are just too weak for the richness of gold, imo. And just my opinion.
