Are those supporting posts? If so, then wrap them with beefy cedar cladding, plain, or if budget allows stone supports of cedar columns. Match the door to the columns--restain door you have to be lighter.

I agree with jck that you need windows on the side of what looks like a garage. If that's not possible then professional andscaping plans, which you should definitely budget for, should include that blank wall. Look how these deep beds extend the footprint of the house and porch. Consider a much wider walkway in the same stone as your stone façade.

Be intentional about the windows from the inside. Think about straight, less droopy curtains, or better long plantation shutters. Any new window frames should be bronze.

That does not look like a garage entry because there is no driveway evident. Did garage entrance change to the side? I bring this up because it will make a difference if adding window(s) and deciding colors.

Use dark Bronze Windows, lose the shutters. Change out the double door to a single with 2 sidelites and paint red or green.

I'd put a tree in front of the blank space on the right. It does not need to be right next to your house if you don't have room for it there. Or, you could move your path out and put it between the path and the house. I'd do a small, native flowering tree.

This kind of walkway/patio hardscaping in stone that matches your trim could extend your front porch and be part of a new landscaping plant.
