Window treatment advice

Hello! I’m considering curtains for these rooms but not sure how or if they would look right with the window trim. Since it’s a large space, curtains could help reduce echo, add warmth, and provide a stylish touch. Plus, when open, they wouldn’t obstruct the view like blinds. Do you think it would look odd? I’m not against blinds if that’s my only option!

Ideas? :)

Cafe curtains are all the rage right now for kitchens and eating nooks.

With that depth and window trim, I think your only solutions can be something that mounts inside the trim frame of the window.

    BLINDS

    BLINDS

    SHUTTERS

    CAFE CURTAINS

    PLEATED SHADES

    ZEBRA BLINDS

Would full length curtains mounted inside the window frame look okay? Or would you say it really needs to be blinds? There’s something about the cafe curtains that just don’t look right to me. Hah! Thank you so much for taking the time to respond!

In the seating area yes I think drapes will look nice. In the dining room long drapes will impede your moulding and would likely never fall properly in the recessed nook. Roman fabric blinds might be more modern and a better fit for your aesthetic.

The picture window in the kitchen is so beautiful all by itself.

Yes to curtains in your living room area.

Doorway curtains are big in the UK. I'd riff off of this idea for your large kitchen window. Sure, do a roller or natural blind inside the window if you want. But to absorb the echo and for more stylishness, I'd hang a high rod outside of the window area and have one curtain panel that you keep pushed all the way over to the left side so it covers the wall to the left of the window opening.

I'm with Patricia ^^^. Especially for the window in the dining area. That window is beautiful on its own. If it were me I'd reduce echo by adding a nice carpet. I would also replace the mirro with artwork and put a consule under it. Maybe a floor plant in the corner.

Do you like a Roman shade or a bamboo shade in your living room and where you have the question mark by the chair I would I wouldn't put anything there I would put it to the other wall next to the chair a picture would be nice of Art or family and I love that mirror you have by the other side of the window you could put a small table there like a half moon shape table and in your dining room I would put two panels not feel the window and tie them back that would look lovely in that spot but I'm also picturing but maybe you don't want it a window seat there in the dining room with some pillows so you can sit there if you want to look out but if that's not what you want you don't have to have it it was still look lovely you have a stylish home and very beautiful!
