French door- interior color? Advice please!

Hi! My house was broken into and thus I need a new door. I will be doing a double french door with sidelights. I am very confused by what color. My windows are all white inside and black outside. The door will be black outside, but what to do inside? White is logical, but too plain? Are black interior doors a lasting trend or will it soon be outdated. I am starting to see more brown-bronze, but I am unsure if this matches.... advice? I have attached photos of the main floor so you can get an idea of colors and finishes.

White on the interior of course.

Will the doors be sliding???????

Or were you planning on hinges? IMO a double door with hinges is more easy to break into than the sliding doors.

Don't change this one to have a black interior unless you're going to change all of them. If only one window/door is black it will look like a mistake.

Do you have another entry for your house that you could also paint black (ie garage)? In my previous house I painted the interior and exterior black on the front and garage door and left the trim white around it. I loved it!
I also think a black door would look lovely and very cohesive in your space. I'd recommend the paint colors SW Iron Ore or Peppercorn.

Thanks for the comments. We have upped other safety measures, you are right a french door is not as safe, but this door will have some additional bells and whistles too.

I could paint the back entry door going into the garage black- great idea.

Looks like white is the most popular option. thanks all!

Dropping in a random black or gray door will look like you couldn’t find (or afford) a matching door so you got the black one because it’s good enough. IMO.

Another reason to appreciate my impact/hurricane windows and doors ... the glass cannot be broken to gain access to a house.

I would match the door color to the nearby white windows.

All those grest details? A warm dark charcoal inside an out, or warm black with an OFFICIAL FINISH, from chalk to gloss! Fantastic! Black has staying power, (read: true classic / timeless style) as opposed to to trend colors. And warm black will warm up all white interiors, and make a mix of cream/white tones look INTENTIONAL.

So sorry about the thieves 🙁 but cameras do the trick. Cleaning and fixing my mother’s giant peeling paint monster (why, thieves, why??) they paid a few visits until security could be set up.After the first two i put a note on the ficus — DON’T FORGOT THE FICUS!
