Where are you located? I like Nourse farms in Massachusetts. They have high quality plants. But, I also think going to a nursery in your general area is best, because they'll carry plants well-suited for your climate. So, if you're not in the Northeast, maybe someone else can give a rec.

Where are you? I got mine at the Catskill Plant Nursery in the Hudson Valley.

I bought mine from a small local nursery. I've bought berries online and at the local nursery and local always wins. Bigger plants and better prices.

I'm in Northern Michigan and I got mine from Daisy Farms, here in Michigan. I got my strawberries and asparagus from them too, and everything has grown well.

I got Pixwell and Hinnomaki, they've both grown well but they do have thorns.

I'm in NY and have ordered fruit trees from St Lawrence Nursery who specializes in fruit and nuts for cold climates. The only gooseberry they currently have listed to sell is Pixwell.

Do gooseberries require a lot of sunlight. About 15 yrs ago I got some from a farmer who was growing nice looking ones. I planted them and got a good crop of prickly canes, some flowers and maybe one or two unripened gooseberries.

I’m in New England and can grow Heritage raspberries, blueberries, rhubarb. I am in a clearing with lots of hardwoods around, on a 12 to 14 deg north facing slope. Our yard/garden area gets maybe 6- 8 hours of bright light and sun but it varies as the sunlight in periodically blocked by trees.

I have no luck w strawberries either. User error.
