It is narrow enough...it could have been frameless , even with 3/8 glass so there is that as well.

If all you said was "replace this door" ? "They" did that.

Yes, it will do what it needs to do. It would have looked nicer taller, but there is nothing wrong with this.

That size door will allow for ventilation and decrease mildew. Looks good.

Did you ask for something different then get what you asked for . I think its okay a bit short but if you did not specify it is done

Also, measuring how far down from the ceiling is not the issue--if you had a 20 foot ceiling then 2 feet from the ceiling would be 18 feet tall. Which is ridiculous. How high is the ceiling? How tall is the door exactly? How tall are the individuals who are going to use it? How high up is the shower head? Unless the water is going to splash out, it's fine.

On another note, the towel bar on the left side of the photo looks very high to me, but that just could be the angle of the photo.

This is not a custom door. It's an off the shelf door.

I'm guessing you selected something and they installed it. It appears to be lower than the shower head and that is atypical.

As shower doors go these days, it's adequate but not attractive.

A frameless custom door would have required thicker glass. $$$

This model below is $632

Shower doors generally are 70 - 79" high. Custom will go higher.

Shorter and framed are less expensive than frameless and taller. So if your project was price driven, that could be the reason.
