Lyn: i was thinking the same thing, probably easiest and cheapest solution would be to swag it back over to center it.

Because the frame of the table is so light, you want to select a chair whose scale doesn't overwhelm the table.

I suggest you replace the mirror with a tall canvas as the mirror doesn't seem to reflect anything very interesting (window with closed blinds across). It would also bring colour into the space.

Love all the input. really like those leather chairs. thx. I like the idea of turning the mirror or getting art for that wall. i have another wall i could move the mirror to. that mirror which is actually PLASTIC has been a favorite for years. i picked it up at ross for super cheap.i think the mirror in it was cracked and some of the black was scraped off. i like how it looked distressed and the gold detail , i took it to michaels to replace the mirror and its been around for 15+ years. I’ll start with turning the mirror and look for some shades for the light fixture.

I was about to suggest the chairs in Beverly's pics the top one comes in some great colors , Thye are comfy easy to clean nand look great with metal tables .I would do alinear loght with down lights not ones thta light the ceiling and run the yable along the same as you hve it. Red or cognac color could be nice

Replace the glass top with stained wood, but keep the legs black. Choose white chairs with black legs. The table with glass on it makes it like what it is...an outdoor piece. The wood will warmed up the metal (and go with the wood console)and white chairs breaks up all the black.

Replace mirror (which does not reflect anything great) with art. Again think adding some white.

Terra cotta, white, touch of black and a wood frame.

Elcieg: i did have a wood table previously. i was trying to open it up some with a glass top. i wish it was taller though. my other table was counter height which i really liked because it worked as additional prep space. my kitchen is so tiny. this table may look like a patio table, but it is not.

Have you thought of turning the table the other direction? It seems like it might work better that wasy.

You can raise the mirror especially if you decide to place a plant in the center of the console.

Consider candle wall sconces.

I might consider turning the table. Then the issue of the table centered under the chandelier will not be an issue.

I like the table that orientation, do you like it? I think that art would be nice instead of the mirror. You might even be able to go wider depending on the width of the console table.

Yes. i think i do like the table turned. in term of art/color get caught between liking muted neutrals…and wanting color.

I don't think the art you posted has enough impact for the area, and it should have a vertical orientation. Picking up the color of the floor in the art would help.

That was going to be my next question. and i do like your example of a more colorful wall art. i have blinds on the big window…i like that i can shut them for privacy or tilt for extra light. patio window i dont need privacy but i dont know how the two windows together. the windiw with the blinds is like 93 inches wide. the blinds are cut separate to the size of the centet glass and then the two sliding peices on each sude.

Panels of fabric that looks like burlap could be interesting or maybe drapery panels in a soft terra cotta color like the flooring.

The room looks more spacious with the table turned around.

Here's the look all black chairs, roman shades on the window(s) -and door), shades on the chandelier, and a large canvas on the wall.

Oh I like the mock ups. So you think leave the blinds in the LR and just add panels to both windows? I had it that way previously. I had off white linen'ish panels. I THINK I finally got rid of them though...ugh!! Ikea has nice panels that come in long lengths and are pretty affordable.

Here is my other table I have. counter height but I switch the legs out to straight tapered legs...oh and those are the old panels I had that I think I finally got rid of out of the garage.

No to the counter height table. Some of us cannot sit on a bar stool and eat a meal with our feet off the ground on a regular basis
