A Stunning Remodel: Transforming Spaces into Dream Interiors

last modified: 5 months ago

What started as a simple bedroom, hallway, breakfast room, and a small, outdated kitchen has been completely transformed into an open, inviting space that feels brand new. By removing walls and creating a seamless flow, we were given a blank slate to craft a stunning new layout that maximized functionality and aesthetic appeal.

Kitchen: Smart Design with a Stylish Touch

The heart of this remodel was the kitchen, where every detail was carefully planned to ensure beauty and efficiency. My clients and I spent a lot of time at the cabinet shop perfecting the layout. We bumped out the kitchen sink, dishwasher, and an opposite cabinet to avoid long, clunky runs and seams. The large built-in fridge was placed directly across from a gorgeous picture window, creating a stunning focal point.

We also added a cozy coffee bar, making sure there was still plenty of space to relax, gather, and enjoy meals. A spacious 10-foot island became the centerpiece of the kitchen. Getting that island just right meant planning for a jumbo slab to make it happen—but it was totally worth it!

Countertops: Vadara Quartz Sterling Light

Owner’s Suite: Cozy Meets Chic

In the owner’s suite, I worked closely with the wife on the design selections, while the husband took the lead as the contractor. The result is a beautifully balanced space that blends warmth and brightness. Custom Alder stained doors introduce a rich, inviting element, complemented by gold accents that add a touch of sophistication. A wood dresser further enhances the cozy atmosphere, while a combination of white and gray tile keeps the space feeling fresh, airy, and modern.

Powder Bath: A Bold Statement

This powder bath is a total showstopper! We went with a white oak freestanding vanity featuring gorgeous reeded drawer fronts. Black hardware adds a bold contrast, working perfectly with the matte black vertical picket tile walls. And for the final touch? An oversized glass and luxe gold pendant that brings just the right amount of sparkle to the space.

A Home That Blends Comfort, Style, and Functionality

This remodel was all about transforming the home into something that fits the clients’ lifestyle perfectly. With thoughtful design choices, intentional layouts, and quality finishes, we created a space that feels both luxurious and inviting. Every detail was considered, ensuring that the home is

somewhere my clients will love for years to come.

I immediately noticed the bump outs in the kitchen counter runs. Functionally it isn't my thing, but visually, it certainly adds interest and a very custom look. Lighting in the glass uppers is beautiful.

Thank you and yes I understand and listen to my clients on personal preferences. In this case with long runs of cabinetry and when there is enough walkway, I strategically plan the bump outs to avoid cabinet seams that are hard to hide even with great installers. I also like to cover a little bit of the side of the large Wolfe type commercial ranges because they are so bulky. The lighting in the upper cabinets is to create the illusion of windows on the wall that has no windows! Appreciate your thoughts!

Stools at the island look too tight to be functional but otherwise looks really nice!
