Inside corner trim where stainless steel meets up

Where the sides of my stainless steel wall shield meet up under my range hood, I am looking for something much better than the white polywall FRP inside corner trim I have in place. If it all butted up squarely, I wouldn't have the problem. But it doesn't, there is about a 1/4 inch gap where it meets up. I have done a lot of searches online but no luck so far. Any ideas?

Have a sheet metal shop bend up a strip of stainless steel, then screw or glue it in place.

Great solution, would work well. But around here it would cost minimum of $50, if you could even get someone interested in doing it.

On our boat, we have strip of stainless that go around corners on wood areas, to prevent chafing. I can't think of what they're called, so I'm having trouble finding them. I'll ask DH, in case you don't get a better solution.

They may be too expensive. The words boat + stainless = $$.

Not sure how it will hold up but you can get a piece of L shaped anodized aluminum from Home depot in their metals area. or maybe there's a Schluter strip that would work (would likely need to be modified)

Remove the metal. Apply a Schluter Quadec in the finish of your choice. Reapply the metal.
