Help with Curtain Header Style

I am in the process of making side panels for my family room. I want a simple header like the attached photo from my favourite UK designer. Is this called a flat panel header? Or do you think this is an inverted (reverse) pleat that forms tight crisp fold when stacked. Thanks in advance

I stared the spots off it. I watched Sophie's videos......I will guess her fabric is wool ( common in the UK, not here. If you look very closely at the header, you can see the shadow line of the pleat, a hand tack.......about 2 inches below the rod.

It is NOT ripple: ) Sorry. My bet? She'd never use a ripple: )

You have to be careful when selecting a fabric. If you want the drapes to lie straight, no polyester that might have a tendency to 'blossom' at the base.

Thanks @BeverlyFLADeziner but I’m not sure ripple fold can stack as tightly as the photo I posted.

Your example is not a reverse pleat. I found an example of various pleats.

I think 2 finger, tacked at the top, which I love, btw

The rest is "dressing" and fabric, lining selections, craftsmanship, and drapery weights..........and perfection in installation to include a return to the wall. Then a "bind" a the bottom for a day or two for memory in the dressing of each panel

Thank you @BeverlyFLADeziner that may very well be the case. @ratherbesewing I did see an example of an inverse pleat that looked like the photo I posted when drapes stacked to the sides and I plan on keeping them that way. They are simply decorative.. Thanks @JAN MOYER, I did consider that style but looking for something a bit simpler. I bought beautiful medium weight irish linen and lining them. I did purchase wave tape which is essentially a ripplefold look. I think I will make one panel and test out and change course if need be.

Clementine, I am curious about your project since I have never made ripplefold style. YouTube explained the wave tape, specialized clips and track. Will you include buckram in the header? Where did puchase the hardware and are you happy with it? I would love to see photos when you are done.

@ratherbesewing I did purchase buckram after reading extensively and watching youtube vidoes and everyone recommending it. I purchased a channel rod called Tekno25 in US I believe available on HomeDepot.com. Not installed yet but looks beautiful. I will share photos when done.

I think it’s a cartridge pleat. Sophie’s video on window treatments talks about differnent header styles and at 6:03 they show a room with a cartridge pleat.
