Mixed Metals in Kitchen Open Floor Plan

I'm renovating my kitchen and planning for a 10ft island, which means I'll need to add 2-3 pendant lights. My main living space (eat-in area, entry, and dining room) already have existing light fixtures that I don’t plan to replace right now for budget reasons. Initially, I wanted to use gold/glass pendants along with gold fixtures and cabinet handles in the kitchen, but now I’m worried they clash with my current lighting. Should I still go with gold and update the other fixtures later, or should I choose something more complementary? If I go the complementary route, what pendant styles and finishes would you recommend? I also prefer not to use black handles on the cabinets, which is adding to my dilemma.

Not every island needs pendants over it. I have a large kitchen with 12 ft ceilings and didn't do pendants over the island, but I did add two pendants over the 10 ft wide window over the sink run. I wanted the view to be through the kitchen and not blocked by pendants hanging half way in the space.

You have a lot of exposed bulbs in your spaces.

What is the new kitchen design and what spaces does is open to?

IMO the whole gold thing will be dated in a short time (too many tones that never match) O think changing those Eison buls in the other lighting would be a huge update and as for the pendants in the kitchen something that lights the island not the ceiling and no bare bulbs . You can find fixtures with mixed metals and that is what I would do if the gold for the hardware is a must .This is just an idea but meets all my criteria for pendant lighting in the kitchen and the same LED 4000K bulbs there and in the other lighting or at least 3500K everyhwere
