Galley kitchens have a couple choices for lighting layouts, but each has their compromises. Also having only 33" clear between sides makes it a tougher decision.

- You can align recessed at the counter edge (which is the proper location), but the rows being less than 33" apart may be too close for the fixtures chosen. And with that, depending on deep cabinets/hood/ref, moving some recessed out from the counter edge to accomodate those items may make a strange ceiling layout in such a small space, or not having them aligned across the "aisle" will stand out negatively.

- You can place the recessed down the middle aisle and live with shadows. But recessed here also offers less light in the upper cabinets, so many galleys will stick with ceiling mounted fixtures (flush or semi-flush) and still live with counter and base cabinet shadows.

Starcraft, thanks for the link ....informing read!! Now I'm worried about my venting!! Still doesn't help my issue though....I'll definitely do led under cabs, maybe 2 4" recessed in meddle and add a light to the replacement fan. This place is so tiny and seems like I'm the gc so I'm learning a lot but stressful!!
