Need trim and hardware help, please!

We just installed these doors and I'd like to trim them and all of our windows with a style that is more detailed than what Craftsman (the style everyone keeps telling me pairs with 5 panel shaker doors) offers. While we CAN go with a larger piece of trim up top, the side pieces need to remain a 2 1/4" width. We also plan to install box beams on the ceiling in the future. I regret choosing these doors and should've gone with something far less modern, but I can't turn back now and I need to make the best of it if possible. Would also love hardware recommendations. We need a rounded knob because our dogs have figured out how to open doors with handles on them.

What you have now isn't Craftsman, it's modern builder grade Victorian. See this previous post below for true Craftsman illustrations. I had a house that was built in 1910 that had trim like what one of the commenters shows. Even you aren't 100% faithful to it, at least it gives you an idea of the direction to go in.

Honestly I don’t understand fluted trim with shaker doors but you should trim doors and windows the same.

I agree tht trim is a bit off with the door style . I aslo would not do either the fluted or the rosettes anywhere else .

Thank you, everyone. I guess a better question would be, are there any styles of trim outside of a Craftsman style that would work well with these doors? We weren't planning to replace the trim, but I agree that it's not right and would love feedback.

Simple flat wood trim with a slightly eased edge and mitered corners instead of corner blocks would look good as a replacement for all.
