Curtain color is vexing to me! Please Help!

Hi there, I'm struggling with color selection for the curtains in my bedroom with floral bedding. Was originally going to go with a neutral color but now wondering if I should pull from one of the other colors in the bedding. I am going to use a sheer curtain over the window for privacy since it faces a courtyard. The curtains will be floor length. I'm going to leave the walls white for now. At some point may paint them pale blue/gray.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts or advice...

I couldn't figure out how to number the swatches in the photos...

Above right to left 1, 2, 3, 4, 5

above 6, 7

above 8,9, 10

Ignore the above... I uploaded by mistake and can't figure out how to delete it...

sorry thought I had added this photo of the window...

I would go with the lightest pink/blush color especially if you may paint the walls

how about a top down/bottom up bamboo blind/shade with your Sheers?

it's a relatively small space, keep it simple and let the bedding be the feature.

    White/cream/linen.

Sheers just don't look good in colors, so use white or off white (background color of the duvet) with drapes if you want color. Without seeing the window I don't know whether blinds or shades would be a better idea. You don't have a need to block much light?

    I’d keep it light.

Here's a visual of my suggestions...

And here's an idea of how you can layer your bedding...

Strong, high-contrast patterns on white or near-white are not my favorites, but played against dark backgrounds, they almost reverse, emphasizing the whites/creams. Beverly shows the dark in the drapes, but it could also be used on wall(s), with light drapes. Something like this? (I know the window isn't on that side, but I made one there to show the drapes.)

What about pinstripes in two of the colors?

I simply use Microsoft Paint to assemble the image. Cut and paste. Very primitive.

Me too; just MS Paint. It's not AI; you have to do the drawing over the original photo. AI is like hiring an artist to draw a picture for you from your description; AI decides what to draw. Paint is like handing you a box of pencils; you decide what to draw.

    GREEN?

ANTHROPOLOGIE has just about everything you could want in the fabric...chairs, rugs, and a shower curtain. How about two shower curtains for draperies?

Your bedding is beautiful and already brings a lot of pattern and color into the space, so I’d suggest keeping the curtains soft and tonal to balance everything out. Since you're layering with sheers for privacy, something in a light cream, linen, or even a pale sage or blush (if you're leaning into warmth) could add dimension without competing.

If you do want to pull from the bedding, the soft blue or muted green tones would be lovely, especially if you eventually go with pale blue/gray walls they’d still feel cohesive. Just be careful not to go too dark unless you want the curtains to be a statement feature.

Just keep in mind the curtains are a large vertical element, so think about whether you want them to quietly support the room or be a focal point.

I simply use PowerPoint, cut and paste, draw some parts and sometimes use effects.

I would go for a darker color one the walls and then a lighter color for the curtains. Pull them all from the comforter.

I love the darker teal blue.

I am not a lover of colored sheers but I do love drapes in a bedroom so I would do white sheers ifyou need them and then the dark color from the bedding for drapes not panel real drapes that will cover the window , I really dislike fake drapery hanging on either side thta could not possibly cover the window .
