I would put the back to the kitchen, with a console table behind it. so your view is of the yard (and TV)

I would not have used the green area rug. Not sure this is the right postion for the sectional considering we can't see the one missing wall.

Here is a photo of the TV wall. The green rug is not the final pick :-) I was thinking more of a cream after seeing it with the sofa.

I’d keep the sectional as is, being that it’s facing the tv wall, I think it’s appropriate.

So the TV is going in the big niche? The TV won't be seen from all angles recessed like that. Get a big piece of furniture like a buffet that can be pulled away from the wall and set the TV on top of it.

I don't know why people don't llike the green rug , lisedv shows a good way to accessorize it.

Agree that alcove for the TV is not making any sense for viewing from such a big room. Can you drywall it?

Forget the tv in the niche.

Get good looking top down , bottom up shades, you're blocking a chunk of window, anyway.

Park a media console in front of the windows, and rotate the sectional.

A drawing of the whole area, WITH all the dimension or the plan from when you built would be helpful, including the sectional dimensions.....

With the large openings on either side of the seating area, your large sectional is a traffic/flow impediment as one sectional side mostly blocks one opening no matter how you position it. A sofa (parallel to the window, facing niche) with two chairs on sides would block less of the openings. Add tables/ottomans.

The green rug (with art, pillows, plants, window treatments, etc.) and large TV with long console in the niche (or niche dry walled over) seem fine to me. The HVAC vents or returns in the niche are poorly positioned as a console will block them.
