pony wall between tub and vanity?

I am renovating my bathroom. Will be replacing existing tub with a new tub, replacing vanity, tiles, etc. so I was wondering if anyone ever puts a pony wall between vanity and tub. I've only seen it with walk in showers. That little space between vanity and tub gets nasty and it's very hard to get in there to clean properly.

You will need a vanity that is less wide to accommodate a pony wall.

Consider no pony wall and a less-wide vanity. The larger gap should make easier to clean.

There are no tubs made with tile flanges on 3.5 sides. There is no way to properly waterproof what you are describing. That’s why most people put the toilet next to the tub.

Thanks, that makes sense. I wanted to switch toilet and vanity locations but was told it was an unnecessary added expense.

When we bought our Florida home, we had the same situation. We replaced with this when we renovated.

This happens to be custom because we had the linen closet built across from it. You can see it’s reflection.

Our toilet is a WC to the right but a toilet could have easily fit there.

No need for a pony wall.
