We are remodeling our kitchen. We have a large open concept great room. And there are certain elements we simply can’t change and will need to be considered when picking colors. The fireplace, the honey oak ceiling beams and floors, the north-northwest lighting. All included in the r pictures. We have chosen a bold countertop-UGM Calacatta Sonata. It has caramel, rust, grey and black. I really wanted accessible beige or balanced beige cabinets but our dim lighting made them look drab and dingy. Any warm griege turned grey. SW loggia looked warmer and more what I was hoping balanced beige would look like but I’m worried about timelessness. (We have since installed multiple can lightening to help with the poor lighting). White doesn’t really fit the aesthetic but nothing else seemed to work. SW aesthetic white is where we are leaning. It does look like white but I am hoping the beige will help warm it up.

So my decorating warriors! Please offer advice. What are your thoughts about the cabinet colors? SW colors only, our cabinet maker only does SW

As far as backsplash, if we go with Aesthetic white. I want a warm taupe to bring out the warm tones in the countertop. I’m having a hard time finding a light to medium warm taupe that’s not multicolored. And all the warm griege colors seem to turn grey. I can’t find one warm enough and I’m trying to avoid the yellow/gold beiges. But I’d love to hear thoughts and any advice is welcome!
