A climbing rose I used to grow that had blooms whose petals felt and performed like thick plastic, freezer bag quality, was Lady Ashe. It was sadly removed because it and a neighboring Quietness became Rose Rosette Virus infected a couple years back. Lady Ashe is a true climbing hybrid tea having long stemmed laterals with fragrant, strong necked flowers. The flowers last a long time before petal drop, spring through autumn. Its laterals grow mostly vertically, with long stems emerging from horizontally trained basal canes. Its a true climbing hybrid tea, unlike most climbers which are climbing floribundas.

Another super durable rose for me is Quicksilver, the Kordes climber. Its many petaled blooms are thick petaled, lasting a long time on the bush. I am growing it as a bush rather than a climber now, since it died back to the ground a few years back because of a couple of Arctic blasts the previous winter. It wants to grow long laterals and basals in an attempt to resume its climbing predilection.
