Kitchen seating ideas for a small space + burger night workaround?

Hey everyone,

I’m currently reworking a small corner of my kitchen to create a more casual eating spot. It’s a tight layout — basically a galley-style kitchen — and I’m debating between a narrow breakfast bar versus a fold-out table that can be tucked away.

Here’s the fun part: I’ve been doing burger nights for friends (we rotate menus each week), and one thing we noticed is that people enjoy looking at menus or mock setups before coming over. Kind of adds to the experience.

Last week I referenced this: 5guyzmenu.com/ — just to show friends what kind of toppings and sides we might include for our DIY night. The layout of that menu helped me organize everything better, and the images gave people a visual cue.

If anyone has experience with compact seating options that still feel social or comfy — especially if you host even a tiny group — would love your input. Also happy to hear if others do themed food nights like this at home.
