Nice! I just planted 2 new Hawaiian Coral peonies yesterday , just the roots with a couple of shoots so crossing fingers I'll get a bloom in, say, 2 summers !

Yes, in the allotment to prove you wore it outside in public lol - and, I am sure, pulled it off with perfection! And a picture in your kitchen, just because... colors. And lots of them! Did you get it with the added petticoat? The dress is actually quite lovely - I love the vintage styles although I'm not sure if they love me, lol, but I have worn some. I know, however, I couldn't pull off the colors. I'm more of a dark colors or plaid girl. Or at the very least jewel tones lol.

Now on to the peony. It's wonderful. Funny, when it comes to that color, I need to be restrained from buying every rose ever bred in that color. But other plants, not so much. I was just looking however, at some peonies and a salmony-peach one did catch my eye. I didn't bite however - I bought about 5 peonies last year to add to my single Sarah Bernhardt, so I am waiting to see how I do with those before buying more. I was thinking they may be my new obsession - although watching my buds in the constant rain we've been having the last two weeks is making me rethink said new obsession....

O, I will, Dee. Just waiting for a nice sunny day (still overcast Britain here). Still in my (red) winter boots. Have always been a frock wearer: vintage if I can cos they are invariably well made...or DIY if not. Was slightly ashamed I bought this as it wouldn't be hard to knock one up (but the colour!). Have never worn jeans (or trainers or shorts for that matter) since I was about 6) and yep, currently rocking lilac hair. I like colour A LOT. I practically salivate over some combos while others make me feel a bit nauseous. Think that is why I am drawn to yarn, dyeing, painting and fabrics. Have made a few awful mistakes though.

Yes, I fear I may be heading down a paeony road but I have had terrible luck in the past...mostly not my fault for once. Digging dogs, workmen's boots and ladders, garden wall collapse. Even transfered several seed grown ones to a customer's garden, hoping for better luck...then they announced they were selling up (I dug them out again and gave to daughter). I finally had some blooms on a coupla ones I had grown - mostly species so they are over in a week! Anyway, this has emboldened me to try again...but not from seed cos I fear I won't last that long. Have also bought a single red 'Blaze' and a delicate single pink 'Nymph'. Like roses, I can't abide the huge frilly ones...I want stamens and a proper flower bloom, not a crumpled mass.

I have a bloody huge 10ft by 12 ft lutea tree paeony but this will be my first intersectional.

Do post some pics. Lat 62. I usually never dare ask that of anyone but in my new (hopeful) photo posting incarnation, I am now requesting...no, demanding.
