Hello all,

My husband and I stained our pine wood windows and now we are finishing them. I had some water-based polyurathane left from some wall staining I did (Target coatings Emtech 9300) which claims to be non-yellowing, UV protecting, flat finish which were our 3 main things we wanted in a top coat. Has anyone ever finished windows with this before? We are doing the recommended 4 coats.

I am not familiar with the brand you are using, but, it will most likely be fine. Usually 3 coats is maximum you should need. Most only use 2 coats. In any case, please use the same exact product on all your trim, or some will look different, and that you dont want.
