Layer Chops is finished

Here is the finished product - Layer Chops by Donna Jordan. The panto is Spilt Paint by Anne Bright Designs. My husband loves this quilt, but he wondered why I made it so short. It's 55"X64." The original was 5x7 blocks, and I made it 6x7 blocks since I like a wider quilt. I guess I should have made it 6x8 for him. He's a tall guy.

Nice job, Lois! Your quilts are always so flat and square. Mine usually come out wavy. 😁

Thanks, Donna. One thing I've started doing is putting a little tension on the binding when I'm attaching it. I don't really stretch it, but I don't just lay it there either. Oh, and if there's a border, I measure the quilt through the middle and cut my border that length. If the edge of the quilt is longer, I ease it into the shorter border. That really helps too.

Nice job, Lois. I've looked at that pattern several times, but haven't pulled the trigger on it yet. There are alot of free patterns on her site that I would like to try.
