Two-hole sink, single-handle faucet?

last modified: last month

I want to replace an old builder-grade laundry room utility sink with an even older, but immaculate, porcelain utility sink. The older sink has the original faucet, two handles 4” spread, and two holes. I’d like to use a single-handle faucet. Can I do that? even if the faucet is slightly off-center? If I got a faucet kit with optional soap dispenser, that could take the second hole?

Will this work?
