Very happy with my Julien 30" W x 18" D x 10" H single bowl with 18" x 18" integrated drainboard. I have a cutting board and colander, but rarely use them. I also have a Julien 18 x 18 x 10 sink on the island. I use the cutting board on the smaller sink when we have parties.

You have to chase food debris on every single sink I have ever used, so I don't understand how only these larger sinks get that complaint! Having pull-out faucets makes rinsing down the sinks much easier, compared to the separate plastic sprayers we used to have in the old days.

I never need to remove the bottom grate to rinse the sink. Maybe those people dump lots of nasty stuff into their sinks that should go in the garbage?

Not draining well? That is a function of your plumbing, water pressure and drain/pipe sizes!

Definitely get a garbage disposal.

The flatter the bottom of your sink, the more you will be chasing food down the drain. If your sink bottom is nicely angled toward the drain, you’ll be fine. There’s a nice example of drain angling on a custom Rachiele sink.
