Kitchen shelving recommendations?

We have a 6' window over the kitchen sink. I didn't want cabinets there so the architect drew these 3 shelves but they seem off to me. The minimum height is 30" above the countertop due to the cooktop (no hood). The cabinets are walnut, countertop is Absolute Black Honed Granite. There is a island in front of this with Mont Blanc Quartzite and painted cabinets. What would you reccomend around the window?

Also Mont Blanc is known to be a quartzite that has staining issues. Buyer beware.

Architects are usually never good kitchen designers so get one . IMO a star counter on the island with the same color cabinets eveywhere or 2 toned cabinets and all the same counters too many finishes make for a confused space . Kitchens already have a lot going on .Open shelving really is PITA to keep tidy and clean . IMO no open shelving and if using the pics you posted for inspiration are really poor examples . No hood above any type or cooking is all wrong no matter what your architect says . Get a good independant KD please Or at least post ato scale plan here of the kitchen and see what good free advice you can get .

The exhaust is hidden, it is induction not gas.

Clyde Kalvin - thanks for the links. I had seen those prior to selection so made sure the slab was from Brazil (mine is labeled Blanco Superiore but I know there are a few names for it) and have researched the sealer being used. There won't be any penetrations in the slab (no sink or cooktop) so I have a lower risk than others. I will have to post back if I end up with issues. I really tried to find something else that would work but this was the best fit for me in the end.

the top shelf placement is odd and un necessary, you don't need decor that high.

I would also raise the bottom one. off/up from the bottom of the cabinet bottom.

in line just draws a linear line around the room, you don't need.
