Me too, LOL! That was so nice of you and it is definitely a win-win to home them with people who love and appreciate your beautiful work!

I have been debating about what to do with all of my quilts aboard. I have given a few away to friends, but I am a little stumped on what to do with the rest. It is obviously hot in the islands, and even though I only use cotton fabric and batting, quilts are generally not very useful to the locals. Most don't have AC in the home. I may end up donating to the local church so that they can get them to people who may need them or use them for fundraising. Any other suggestions anyone would like to give me are welcome.

@Char, do you ever go back to the US for visits? Perhaps you could donate your excess quilts to a US based charity where I am sure they would be treasured.

You might also check with the local tourism people to see if there are areas in the islands where it gets cold enough to want a quilt. I wouldn't have thought Papua New Guinea was a place where knitted baby clothes and blankets were needed, but for the past two years I have been knitting for an Australia based charity which collects warm gear for newborns because it gets cold enough in the mountainous Highlands to cause them to die of hypothermia.

win-win indeed. Don't underestimate the need of quilts in warm climates. My husband would use one in the height of a Chicago summer. And I have a good friend who would use one while turning up the heat in her car because she can not stay warm enough ever.

That sounds like a great book club meeting and a wonderful bonus for all of the folks in it receiving one of your beautiful quilts! I am sure everyone was excited about getting to choose one.
