I was thinking for the end wall something like a two arm light, wood stool with a vase and greenery

Is that right wall viewable from anywhere besides when you're in the hallway? I would probably get 3 pieces of art that relate somehow, one at the end of the hall and two the same size, side by side on the right wall.

For the right wall, coordinating piece for end of hall needed If you don't want another painting you could do something sculptural and decorative.

A mirror that mimics a window would be great in this space.

the halls feels a bit narrow, I’d leave out additional lighting or other items that project into the space and choose art for the walls, I’d go light and bright with low contrast but that’s just my taste

@chloebud i love that idea of hanging art vertically but does it matter that one of the art pieces will be hung over the board and batten?

Why would you not hang it above the board and batten? Since a hallway is a place where you are always standing, art can be hung a bit higher than in rooms where you view it mostly when you are seated.

Maybe some kind of natural material wall decor hanging? Don’t want to overload on the artwork.

Had a thought…to warm up the hallway and create a more unique feel, would you be interested in grasscloth wallpaper and a fun runner?

I love that mirror too! i know it wasnt suggested but i wonder if a mirror at the end of the hallway is a decor faux pas

i did not even think of putting a wallpaper. would look nice as well.

I love the combo also. You could buy a few different types of mirrors (try Homesense/Marshalls and are easy to return). Or… add square framed art and a light.

I used the short end of a hallway as a gallery wall - but with shelves, so the pictures were always straight, and easy to rearrange.

Hi. I would hang a beautiful mirror on the wall at the end of the hallway and possibly paint it in an accent color and get a runner that compliments the wall.

Your entire hallway seemingly would be a wonderful place for artwork.

Not every space in a house needs to be decorated nor call attention to itself.

This is a very narrow hallway and the wood trim only makes it feel more so. I wouldn't call any attention to the wall space as it will highlight the tightness of the space.

Hang matching decorative flushmount light fixtures and place a rug. That is all the decoration this space needs.
