How can I make this more interesting

Need your help. Some suggestions to make this more interesting. I have an older crystal chandelier above and the room is 14ft by 14 feet. Wondering if the crystal candlesticks are too big for the space?

Grouping things closer will bring a much better look to things ,example ..the two picture frames that you have could be placed next to each others and on one side add a buffet lamp . Here is an example of another
The candle holders could are not too big ,in fact they are too small look at the picture bellow for reference

Crystal ones are fine but the bowl and candle in the center need to be replaced with a floral arrangement or greenery that is wide and low (no higher than the sticks themselves) for more interest and some color and softness on your table.

I would also add a medallion to the chandelier, if you do not have one on already. You have a lovely dinning and living room.
You could also add some interesting shelves to the wall. I just got a cool shelf, it is a suit case front cut in half, as a shelf. I love it. Good luck with your project.

I would put a table runner with just the bowl filled with some metallic sprayed pinecones and cinnamon sticks for the seasons. Maybe move the candlesticks to the buffet.

I just got the candle holders as a gift. Do they look okay or does it date the room?

You could space the out and add another piece in there

Should I just fill the bowl with fresh green apples and do away with any candles on the table?

we are in the Season for those ,then for Christmas add glass balls in the vases. And change the table runner

A round mirror can also be used to get this look not only at Christmas time but any time .it will reflect the chandelier too. what a sight of sparkles it will be :)
